JobHackr is designed with privacy in mind. The only data we permanently store is your favorited jobs.

• Favorited Jobs: When you save a job to your favorites, we store that job listing tied to your account so you can access it later.

What we do NOT store:

• Your Resume: Resume text is processed in real-time for job matching and is never saved to our servers. It exists only in your browser session.
• Search History: Your job searches are not logged or stored.
• Browsing Activity: We do not track which jobs you view.

2. Browser Storage (Your Device Only)

To improve your experience, we use your browser's local storage for temporary data that stays on your device:

• Session Data: Your parsed resume profile and search results are stored temporarily in your browser and cleared when you close the tab.
• Daily View Count: For free tier users, we track your daily job view count locally to manage usage limits.

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services that may collect their own data according to their privacy policies:

• Clerk: Handles authentication and stores your email and account credentials securely.
• Stripe: Processes payments securely. We never see or store your credit card details.
• Vercel: Hosts our application with standard server logs.

4. Data Security

All connections to JobHackr are encrypted via SSL/TLS. Since we minimize data collection, there is minimal data at risk. Your favorited jobs are stored securely and tied to your authenticated account.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your favorited jobs at any time from your account
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Clear your browser's local storage to remove all temporary session data
